  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon paprika
  • 1.5 tablespoons butter or ghee (or vegan butter)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic (minced) Fresh garlic provides a bolder flavor.
  • 12 ounces frozen English peas (shelled) Always keep some in your freezer.
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 0.25 teaspoon crushed red pepper (optional)

Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Heat 1½ tablespoons of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Sauté for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. Add 1½ tablespoons of butter and minced garlic; sauté for an additional minute until garlic is golden.
  4. Reduce heat to medium. Add peas, 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper. Stir and sauté for 3-5 minutes until peas are cooked.
  5. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.

Notes

Garnish with fresh herbs like parsley or basil for added flavor and presentation. Experiment with substitutions like using tofu instead of chicken for a vegan option.
