Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Look for organic or free-range options for added flavor.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Let it sit out for a while before mixing for easier blending.
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated will give better flavor.
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt Use low-sodium options if desired.
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For greasing the baking dish.
  • 1 cup chicken broth Opt for low-sodium broth.
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped Optional for garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with olive oil and set it aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, Parmesan, mozzarella cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is smooth and well blended.
  4. In the prepared baking dish, arrange the chicken breasts in a single layer.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast.
  6. Pour the chicken broth around the chicken breasts, avoiding pouring directly on the creamy layer.
  7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil to prevent the topping from browning too quickly.
Cooking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and the cream cheese topping is bubbling and golden.
  3. Remove the dish from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes.
  4. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley if desired, and then serve.

Notes

Letting the chicken rest after baking allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring tender meat.
