Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Fresh chicken recommended for optimal flavor.
  • 1 oz ranch seasoning mix Use high-quality ranch seasoning or homemade.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Ensure it is well-softened for smooth blending.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Full-fat sour cream is recommended.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Substitute with vegetable broth if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the overall flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Adds depth to the dish.
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper Adds a bit of spice.

Method

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts evenly in the bottom of the crock pot.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine ranch seasoning mix, softened cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well-blended.
  3. Pour the creamy ranch mixture over the chicken breasts, ensuring they are covered thoroughly.
Cooking
  1. Cover the crock pot and cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours, or on high heat for 2 to 3 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
  2. Once cooked, shred the chicken directly in the crock pot using two forks and stir it into the sauce for a creamy, consistent texture.

Notes

For optimal results, marinate chicken in ranch seasoning and olive oil for a few hours before cooking. Serve with rice or mashed potatoes to soak up the sauce.
