Preparation
- Begin by heating olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear the chicken breasts for about 2-3 minutes per side until they develop a golden brown crust, adding flavor to the dish.
- In a crock pot, combine the cream of chicken soup, ranch seasoning, chicken broth, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the seared chicken breasts into the crock pot, ensuring they are well coated with the ranch mixture.
Cooking
- Cover the crock pot and let it cook on low for 6-7 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Once the chicken is cooked, use two forks to shred it right in the crock pot, mixing it wonderfully into the creamy sauce.
- Stir in sour cream to make the dish even creamier. If desired, sprinkle shredded cheese on top and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Don’t skip searing for enhanced flavors. Adjust cooking times based on your crock pot's settings to prevent dryness. Add a splash of lemon juice before serving for extra brightness.
