Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into 1-inch pieces if desired
  • 1 packet dry ranch dressing mix About 1 ounce
  • 8 ounces cream cheese Softened
  • 1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Or 2 minced cloves fresh garlic

Method

Preparation
  1. Gather all ingredients and ensure your crockpot is clean.
  2. Rinse the chicken breasts under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut them into smaller chunks if desired.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the dry ranch dressing mix with garlic powder.
Cooking
  1. Layer the ingredients in the crockpot: Start by placing an even layer of chopped chicken at the bottom.
  2. Spread the softened cream cheese evenly across the top of the chicken.
  3. Generously sprinkle the garlic-ranch seasoning mix over the cream cheese and chicken.
  4. Pour the low-sodium chicken broth over everything.
  5. Set the crockpot to a low heat setting for 6-8 hours, or a high heat setting for 3-4 hours.
  6. After the designated cooking period, check the internal temperature of the chicken with a meat thermometer; it should reach at least 165°F (74°C).
  7. Serve warm over rice, mashed potatoes, or with fresh vegetables. Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions if desired.

Notes

Timing is key; cooking on low allows flavors to meld beautifully. Always use a meat thermometer to check doneness. Adjust seasoning to your preference for a personalized flavor.
