  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder Or fresh garlic for a bolder flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Fresh preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil Fresh preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil Or preferred cooking oil.
Pasta and Sauce
  • 12 oz Penne Pasta Any pasta shape can be used.
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Unsalted preferred.
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream Or half-and-half for a lighter option.
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese Freshly grated is preferred.
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley For garnish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and cook the penne according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta cooks, season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and basil.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 7-8 minutes per side, or until golden and fully cooked. Remove from the skillet and let rest before slicing.
  2. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently.
  3. Gradually mix in the Parmesan cheese until fully melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
Combining and Serving
  1. Add the cooked penne to the sauce and mix well. Slice the chicken and lay it on top or toss it in for a unified dish.
  2. Sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the top before serving. Enjoy your hearty Crac Chicken Penne with a side of crusty bread or a fresh salad.
