Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Opt for fresh chicken for the best flavor.
  • 1 tbsp olive oil For searing the chicken.
  • 1 clove garlic (minced) Adds flavor to the sauce.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Use low-sodium broth for balanced flavor.
  • 8 oz cream cheese (softened) Full-fat recommended for creaminess.
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives (chopped) Can substitute with green onions or parsley.
  • 1 tsp paprika Use smoked paprika for added heat and color.
  • Salt and pepper (to taste) For seasoning.
  • 1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese (optional, for topping) Adds extra flavor if desired.
  • Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish) Enhances presentation.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Season both sides of the chicken breasts generously with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown. Remove the chicken and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Pour in the chicken broth and let it reduce for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the softened cream cheese, stirring until the mixture is smooth, and then incorporate the chopped chives. Adjust seasoning as needed.
  6. Arrange the seared chicken in the baking dish and pour the creamy garlic sauce over the top. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Broil for an additional 2-3 minutes for a golden top.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving warm.

Notes

For the best results, always let cream cheese sit at room temperature for easy blending. Feel free to experiment with different cheeses or add vegetables to the sauce for added flavor.
