  • 1 packet ranch dressing mix Feel free to use homemade or store-bought.
  • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened) Let it soften at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Use freshly shredded cheese for better melting and flavor.
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions Optional for garnish.

Preparation
  1. Place the boneless chicken breasts into the bottom of your slow cooker, ensuring an even layer.
  2. Sprinkle the ranch dressing mix evenly over the chicken.
  3. Cut the softened cream cheese into cubes and scatter them on top.
  4. Cover and set your slow cooker to low for 6-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  5. Once cooked, shred the chicken right in the pot using two forks.
  6. Top with shredded cheddar cheese and let it melt for about 10 minutes.
  7. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.

Notes

For maximum flavor, do not rush the cooking. This dish tastes even better the next day and can be frozen for up to three months.
