  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix For a homemade option, combine dried parsley, dill, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 ounces) Cream of mushroom soup or homemade white sauce can be used for variation.
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth Adjust for sauce consistency.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be substituted.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Optional for searing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Optional for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. (Optional) In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear the chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together the ranch seasoning, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper until smooth.
Baking
  1. Place the seared chicken in a baking dish and pour the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken breasts.
  2. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes to ensure the chicken cooks thoroughly.
  3. Remove the foil, top the chicken with cheddar cheese (if using), and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and melted.
  4. Garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop with a splash of chicken broth.
