  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced Opt for fresh chicken breasts for best flavor; rotisserie chicken can be a great substitute.
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded Fresh mozzarella can lend extra creaminess; use whole milk varieties for richer taste.
  • 4 large tortillas or wraps Whole wheat or spinach tortillas can add unique flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Extra virgin olive oil adds flavor; avocado oil can be used for a higher smoke point.
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • Lettuce For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the diced chicken, olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned chicken in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and crispy.
  2. While the chicken is cooking, lay a tortilla flat on a clean surface. Layer on cooked chicken, shredded mozzarella, lettuce, and tomato slices.
  3. Roll the tortilla tightly to form a wrap. Place it back in the air fryer for an additional 2-3 minutes to achieve a nice crispy exterior.
  4. Remove the wraps from the air fryer, slice in half, and serve warm with extra lettuce or a side of your choice.

Notes

Tip: Ensure chicken is cut evenly for even cooking. Don’t overstuff tortillas to avoid bursting.
