Ingredients
Method
Preparation
- Cut the chicken breasts into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- In a bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Place the cornstarch in another dish.
- Dip each chicken piece into the flour mixture, then into the beaten egg, and finally coat with cornstarch. Set aside on a plate.
Cooking
- In a large skillet or deep frying pan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat to about 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil, cooking until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes. Fry in batches if necessary.
- Remove the chicken from the oil and let it drain on paper towels.
Sauce Preparation
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, and minced garlic. Heat over low flame until warm.
Finishing Touch
- Once all chicken pieces are fried, place them in a large bowl and pour the honey sauce over them. Toss to coat evenly.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and chopped green onions.
Notes
For extra crispiness, consider double frying the chicken. A splash of crushed red pepper flakes can add spice to the honey sauce.
