  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional) For heat.
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter Use high-quality for better flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Use fresh for best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp honey Opt for local honey if possible.
  • cup BBQ sauce Choose your favorite variety.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 8 small flour or corn tortillas Flour preferred for softness.
  • ½ cup shredded lettuce
  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Monterey Jack)
  • ¼ cup diced red onion
  • ¼ cup chopped cilantro
  • to serve Lime wedges For garnish.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, season the chicken with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. Toss to coat evenly.
  2. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook the chicken for 5-6 minutes per side, or until fully cooked. Remove and let rest before slicing.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Stir in honey, BBQ sauce, and lemon juice. Simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Slice or shred the cooked chicken and toss it in the warm garlic butter honey BBQ sauce.
  6. Warm the tortillas, layer with lettuce, saucy chicken, shredded cheese, red onion, and cilantro. Serve with lime wedges and enjoy!
