Ingredients

Base Ingredients
  • 1 cup heavy cream Use the freshest cream; swap for whole milk for a lighter version.
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk Use full-sugar for authentic texture or reduced-sugar for fewer calories.
  • 1 cup nonalcoholic Irish-style beverage or nonalcoholic substitute Can be replaced with a flavored malt or strong coffee and pomegranate juice.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Use pure vanilla for depth; increase slightly if using essence.
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup Choose high-quality syrup or melted dark chocolate for richer flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon instant coffee Optional for roasted notes; substitute with espresso powder or omit.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sweetened condensed milk, nonalcoholic beverage, vanilla extract, chocolate syrup, and instant coffee (if using) until well combined.
  2. Pour the mixture into a bottle or jar and seal tightly. Use a funnel to prevent spills.
  3. Refrigerate for up to 2 weeks, allowing flavors to meld. Chill for at least a few hours.
  4. Shake well before serving over ice or in your favorite drinks.

Notes

Homemade Irish Cream Liqueur lasts for up to two weeks in the fridge. Shake before each pour. For less sweetness, adjust chocolate syrup or add a pinch of salt.
