  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium chicken broth Reduces sodium content while keeping chicken tender.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Stir until well mixed.
  2. Pat the chicken breasts dry with a paper towel and rub the spice mixture evenly over all sides of the chicken.
  3. Place the seasoned chicken in a single layer in the slow cooker and pour the chicken broth around it.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 2.5 to 3.5 hours, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  2. Remove the chicken from the slow cooker and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 to 10 minutes before slicing or shredding.

Notes

Don’t overcrowd the slow cooker; timing matters for perfect tenderness. Resting the chicken allows juices to redistribute.
