- In your slow cooker, combine the cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, chopped onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir gently until well mixed.
- Lay the chicken breasts on top of this mixture, ensuring they are covered by the soup for maximum flavor infusion.
- Sprinkle the uncooked rice over the chicken breasts, without stirring it in. Allow the rice to form its own layer on top.
Cooking
- Cover the slow cooker and set to cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours. Avoid opening the lid during the cooking time!
- About 30 minutes before serving, add in the frozen peas and carrots if using.
