- Start by seasoning both sides of the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Carefully place the seasoned chicken breasts in the hot pan.
- Cook the chicken for approximately 5-7 minutes without moving it to develop a golden-brown crust on one side.
- Flip the chicken and continue cooking for another 5-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
- Once done, remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing to retain its juiciness.
- Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
You can prep the chicken a day in advance. Store it in the refrigerator. Cooked chicken can be frozen for up to three months. Always let the pan come to temperature before adding the chicken for a perfect sear.
