Preparation
- Slice the chicken breasts in half horizontally or gently pound them to achieve even thickness, then season both sides with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
Cooking
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat, then add the chicken breasts, cooking for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken and set aside.
- Lower the heat slightly, then add the butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté the garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in the heavy cream to deglaze the pan, scraping up any bits stuck to the bottom. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and the sauce thickens, about 2–3 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, allowing it to meld with the sauce for an additional 2–3 minutes until heated through.
