  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper Freshly cracked black pepper gives brighter heat.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Minced fresh garlic can be used for more flavor.
  • Salt to taste Salt
  • Chopped green onions for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, olive oil, black pepper, garlic powder, and salt.
  2. Marinate the chicken breasts in the mixture for at least 30 minutes.
Cooking
  1. Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the marinated chicken for about 6-7 minutes on each side or until thoroughly cooked.

Notes

For deeper flavor, marinate chicken for up to 8 hours. Use an instant-read thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
