Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, and place them in a baking dish.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in lemon juice and zest, and remove from heat.
- Pour the lemon garlic butter sauce over the chicken breasts.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese on top of the chicken.
Cooking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
Pat chicken dry before seasoning to help the butter sauce cling. If breasts are thick, tent with foil for the first 15 minutes.
